Heya! Here’s the last point in my ‘voice & vibes checklist’¹. Today’s sticky is:

Does it carry
a trace of
awe
or magic?
or wonder?

It’s interesting to know things, to have answers and certainty. But much of life is unknowable and I think we’d do well to accept — if not delight in — the mystery.

I keep this in mind when I write (especially my current quest project²). Whenever possible, I aim to include a touch of awe, something to invite the reader to pause and think huh… I wonder?

This doesn’t apply to absolutely everything I do or write, which is why it’s the last point on my checklist. I consider it a nice-to-have, not a need-to-have.
